Jumbo Hostel Built Inside 747 Jet Airplane

Stockholm, Sweden is home to one of the most unique places in the world to spend the night, the Jumbo Hostel. This 747-200 spent many years shuttling people around the globe with Singapore Airlines, Pan Am, and bankrupt Swedish airline Transjet. Rather than scrap the plane it was turned into a hostel.

Inside the jet the lounge bar was kept in place and 25 rooms with 3 bunk beds were installed. Private rooms are also available.

Basic dorm room bunks are a little over $40 US dollars and private rooms can be had for about $155.

Some lucky guest each night gets the prize room located in what was once the cabin.

Located in the Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, when in Sweden remember to stay with the jet-set backpacker crowd! Jumbo Hostel.
