Efes Turkish Beer Can Art Contest

Each year the beverage manufacturer Efes hosts a contest featuring art mad out of their brand of beer cans. Here are some of the participants. Let us know in the comments which one is your favorite.

A temple.

Looks like a cathedral. Grand architecture seems to be a popular subject choice.

Musical instuments rate high also as with this violin. It's a genuine Sudsivarius!

The trumpet is pretty cool but Robot Nine wants to see the little cafe or bar behind it. Try as we might we have not found images of it yet.

This beer can man with the fancy coat and bad haircut made us think that a regular size can would be a keg for an action figure sized person.
That's the kind of thoughts we sometimes have.

A band of roving knights. The Crusades, ah, good times!

This contestant actually created a life-size replica of himself inroxicated. We do not know what is going on with his suspiciously placed left hand!

Craft or art? This truck is pretty well done and aethetically pleasing. We like!

Beer can bi-plane. Something seems to work well with beer can art and transportation subjects. Actually drinking the beer and driving or flying... not so good.

Also in the driving while drunk category would be the motorcycle. I wonder if the brewery would have disqualified a contestant who crafted the scene of a car accident involving a drunk driver?
Just a thought.

Our favorite we shall call Blues Guitarist. Of them all Robot Nine thinks this one night transcend simple craft and qualify as folk art. Where is the line? Is there a line? What do you think?

Bad, Bad, Bad Barack Obama Art Here!
(We know, we are evil for judging art! Art can't be judged, which is weird as there are art contests. Robot Nine has no degree in art history. We know, we should get one! If you want to comment on our stupidity please use some modicum of grammer and punctuation that we recognize. In other words you all should read this post's comments!)
