Motorcycle Miniatures From Found Metal. Cool Art!

Photobucket
Artist Jose Geralso Pfau Kings of Brazil has created these wonderful miniature motorcycles. They represent a wide variety of different types of bike as the artist has been fascinated with motorcycles for decades, everything from 50 CC mini bikes to the largest of the beasts.

If you look very closely perhaps you can figure out the source of material that is used to make these amazing little sculptures. Can you guess?

Every motorcycle sculpture on this page was put together using parts of clocks and watches. Dials, gearing, wristwatch bands. Perhaps an old Timex brand watch is in here as indeed it will still keep ticking as the ads say, only in a work of art.

Who knows what brands of timepiece might find their way into this work. Piaget, Rolex, Fossil, Movado, Hermes? Obviously the artist has to scrounge high and low to get the parts needed for the right look for each piece.

Mr. Kings has created over 150 of these unique pieces but does not consider himself a professional artist. He does admit that perhaps a collector might one day purchase the entire set. He should be aware of the fact that miniature artist Willard Wigans sold his collection for a reported price of 20 million dollars! See his art through the link at the bottom of the post.

Let's wrap up with a coll chopper that it's hard not to take as a favorite in this motorcycle lineup.
